Dance schools for a teenager

Hi there
My family and I are hoping to come to Barcelona in the next year to live. My eldest daughter is 14 and she attends an arts school in London where, alongside academic work, she trains in dancing. Dancing is what she loves and what she wants to do as her career. I am trying to find a dance school in Barcelona that would suit her. She does ballet, tap, modern, contemporary and musical theatre. If anybody knows of any school or anybody who would be able to advise me, i'd be really grateful.

I have two younger children and I would like all three of them to go to the same school if possible. As my oldest daughter will soon be doing GCSE's I'll need to find a school that has this curriculum.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Re: Dance schools for a teenager

Hello!

There are many dance schools of very high standards in Barcelona and some of them connected with British institutions such as the Royal School of Dance. But much depends on the specialty your daughter wants to concentrate on and the area where you are going to live. Check www.danzaballet.com and then visit the schools with your daughter when you are here.

I did a thorough research for my little 4-year-old son this winter and then settled in two little schools: the www.escoladeballet.com, specialised in classical ballet and www.petitballetdebcn.com where the director, Isa Moren, they prepare for the entrance at the Institut del Teatre.

All the best
